Question Hour ( UPSC Prelims)

News Context

The initial hour of each parliamentary session is designated for this activity. During this period, members pose questions and ministers typically provide answers. There are three types of questions:
  ● Starred question (marked with an asterisk): Demands an oral answer, allowing for supplementary questions to follow.
  ● Unstarred question: Necessitates a written answer, thus supplementary questions are not permitted.
  ● Short notice question: Submitted with a notice of less than ten days and is answered orally.
