Keolado Ghana National Park

Formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Keoladeo National Park also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, is a famous avifauna sanctuary that hosts thousands of birds, especially during the winter season.

Over 230 species of birds reside here.

It is also a World Heritage Site was also declared a protected sanctuary in 1971.

It is a man-made wetland and was designated as a Ramsar site under the Wetland Convention in 1981.

'केवलादेव घना राष्ट्रीय उद्यान'

पहले भरतपुर बर्ड सेंचुरी के नाम से जाना जाता था, केवलादेव नेशनल पार्क, जिसे केवलादेव घना नेशनल पार्क के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, भरतपुर, राजस्थान में स्थित है। यह एक प्रसिद्ध पक्षी अभयारण्य है जो विशेष रूप से सर्दियों के मौसम में हजारों पक्षियों की मेजबानी करता है।

Gir National Park

The Gir National park is about 65 kilometres southeast of Junagadh City, in Gujarat's Junagadh District. It was established in 1965 with the primary goal of conserving the dwindling population of Asiatic lions, which has been a huge success.

Only about 10% of the park is forested, with teak, flame of the forest, ber, and a variety of acacia trees, and it provides a suitable habitat for tawny Asiatic lions.

Some of the Gir region's major perennial rivers areHiran, Shetrunji, Datardi, Shingoda, Machhundri, and Raval. The Kamleshwar Dam is dubbed as 'the lifeline of Gir.'

Gir has a total of 2,375 fauna species, including 38 mammalian species, 300 bird species, 37 reptile species, and over 2,000 insect species.

The Asiatic lion, Indian leopard, jungle cat, striped hyena, golden jackal, Bengal fox, Indian grey and ruddy mongoose, and honey badger are among the carnivores. The Asiatic wildcat and the rusty-spotted cat are both found in the area, but they are rarely seen.

गिर नेशनल पार्क गुजरात के जूनागढ़ जिले में, जूनागढ़ शहर से लगभग 65 किलोमीटर दक्षिण-पूर्व में स्थित है। इसे 1965 में स्थापित किया गया था, जिसका मुख्य उद्देश्य एशियाई शेरों की घटती जनसंख्या का संरक्षण करना था, जो एक बड़ी सफलता रही है।

पार्क का केवल लगभग 10% हिस्सा वनाच्छादित है, जिसमें सागवान (teak), पलाश (flame of the forest), बेर (ber), और विभिन्न प्रकार के बबूल (acacia) के पेड़ हैं, और यह सुनहरे एशियाई शेरों के लिए उपयुक्त आवास प्रदान करता है।

Manas National Park

Manas National Park is located in the Himalayan foothills in the state of Assam, India.

It is also a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, a Project Tiger reserve, an elephant reserve and a biosphere reserve.

The Manas river flows thorough the west of the park and is the main river within it. It is a major tributary of Brahmaputra river. The Manas river also serves as an international border dividing India and Bhutan.

The Park is known for its rare and endangered endemic wildlife such as the Assam roofed turtle, hispid hare, golden langur and pygmy hog. It is also famous for its population of wild water buffalo.

मानस नेशनल पार्क (Manas National Park) हिमालय की तराई (Himalayan foothills) में स्थित है, जो असम, भारत (Assam, India) राज्य में है।

Corbett National Park

Corbett National Park was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park after Sir Malcolm Hailey in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. It was renamed Ramganga National Park and then shortly after Independence it was rechristened as Corbett National Park in 1956.

The whole area comprises hills, marshy depressions, riverine belts, grasslands and a large lake.

Rivers such as Ramganga, Kosi & Sonanadi flow through it.

It is India's oldest National Park and it is here that Project Tiger was first launched in 1973.

Apart from Royal Bengal Tiger, it is also home to a sizable population of the endangered Asiatic elephant and other critically endangered species including the Gharial.

Mammal species include Asiatic Black Bear, Hog Deer, Walking Deer, Sambar, Sloth Bear, etc., a diversity of aqua fauna and birdlife with approximately 600 species including the great pied hornbill, white-Backed Vulture, Hodgson's bush chat, etc. and reptiles like mugger Crocodiles, the king Cobra, etc.

'कॉर्बेट नेशनल पार्क'

1. कॉर्बेट नेशनल पार्क की स्थापना 1936 में हैली नेशनल पार्क के रूप में की गई थी, जिसका नाम सर मैल्कम हैली के नाम पर रखा गया था, जो उत्तराखंड के नैनीताल जिले में स्थित है। इसे रामगंगा नेशनल पार्क नाम दिया गया और स्वतंत्रता के तुरंत बाद 1956 में इसका नाम बदलकर कॉर्बेट नेशनल पार्क कर दिया गया।
2. पूरा क्षेत्र पहाड़ियों, दलदली अवसादों, नदीय पट्टियों, घास के मैदानों और एक बड़े झील से मिलकर बना है।
3. रामगंगा, कोसी और सोनानदी जैसी नदियाँ इसके माध्यम से बहती हैं।
4. यह भारत का सबसे पुराना नेशनल पार्क है और यहीं पर प्रोजेक्ट टाइगर की शुरुआत 1973 में की गई थी।
5. रॉयल बंगाल टाइगर के अलावा, यह लुप्तप्राय एशियाई हाथी और अन्य गंभीर रूप से लुप्तप्राय प्रजातियों जैसे घड़ियाल का भी घर है।
6. स्तनधारी प्रजातियों में एशियाई काला भालू, हॉग डियर, वॉकिंग डियर, सांभर, स्लॉथ भालू आदि शामिल हैं, और लगभग 600 प्रजातियों के साथ जलीय जीव और पक्षी जीवन की विविधता है, जिसमें ग्रेट पाइड हॉर्नबिल, व्हाइट-बैक्ड वल्चर, हॉजसन का बुश चैट आदि और सरीसृप जैसे मगरमच्छ, किंग कोबरा आदि शामिल हैं।

Periyar National Park

Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (PNP) is located high in the Cardamom Hills and Pandalam Hills of the south Western Ghats near Thekkady in the districts of Idukki, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta in Kerala along the border with Tamil Nadu.

It is notable as an elephant reserve and a tiger reserve

.It forms the major watershed of two important rivers of Kerala, the Periyar and the Pamba.

The fauna includes mammals such as Tiger, Elephant, Lion-tailed macaque, Nilgiri Tahr etc, birds such as Darters, Cormorants, Kingfishers, the great Malabar Hornbill and racket-tailed Drongos and reptiles such as Monitor Lizards, Python, King Cobra etc.

Dudwa National Park

The Dudwa National Park is located in the Lakhimpur-Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh.

It has an area of 614 sq km and comprises of the three protected areas of Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary, Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary and Dudhwa National Park.

The northern edge of the reserve is marked by the river Mohana which lies along the Indo-Nepal border while the southern boundary is marked by the river Suheli. Its eastern side is marked by the river Bagmati, while on its west side flows the river Yamuna.

It is home to a large number of rare and endangered species, which include tiger, leopard, swamp deer, hispid hare, Bengal floricans, etc. It is the only place in U.P. where both Tigers and Rhinos can be spotted together.

'दुधवा नेशनल पार्क'

दुधवा नेशनल पार्क उत्तर प्रदेश के लखीमपुर-खीरी जिले में स्थित है।

यह 614 वर्ग किमी के क्षेत्र में फैला है और इसमें किशनपुर वन्यजीव अभयारण्य, कतरनियाघाट वन्यजीव अभयारण्य और दुधवा नेशनल पार्क के तीन संरक्षित क्षेत्र शामिल हैं।

आरक्षित क्षेत्र की उत्तरी सीमा मोहना नदी द्वारा चिह्नित है जो भारत-नेपाल सीमा के साथ स्थित है, जबकि इसकी दक्षिणी सीमा सुहेली नदी द्वारा चिह्नित है। इसका पूर्वी भाग बागमती नदी द्वारा चिह्नित है, जबकि इसके पश्चिमी भाग में यमुना नदी बहती है।

यहां कई दुर्लभ और लुप्तप्राय प्रजातियां पाई जाती हैं, जिनमें बाघ, तेंदुआ, दलदली हिरण, हिस्पिड खरगोश, बंगाल फ्लोरिकन आदि शामिल हैं। यह उत्तर प्रदेश का एकमात्र स्थान है जहां बाघ और गैंडे एक साथ देखे जा सकते हैं।
