Scindia/Shinde

Scindia/Shinde is a Hindu Maratha clan from Maharashtra.

It ruled over the Gwalior State.

It was part of the Maratha Confederacy in the 18^th and 19^th centuries.

Gaekwads of Baroda

Gaekwads of Baroda are Hindu Marathas who trace their origins to Dawadi village near Poona.

They belonged to a Maratha clan by the name of Matre, which means Mantri meaning Minister.

They ruled the princely state of Baroda in western India from the early 18th century until 1947.

'बड़ौदा के गायकवाड़'

गायकवाड़्स ऑफ बड़ौदा (Gaekwads of Baroda) हिंदू मराठा (Hindu Marathas) हैं जो अपनी उत्पत्ति दावड़ी गांव (Dawadi village) के पास पुणे से मानते हैं।

वे मराठा कबीले (Maratha clan) से संबंधित थे जिसका नाम मात्रे (Matre) था, जिसका मतलब मंत्री (Mantri) होता है।

Songadh

Songadh was the initial capital of the Gaekwads till 1765.

It was Patan during the regime of Damajirao II before it shifted to Baroda.

Bhonsle are a prominent group within the Maratha clan system.

Traditionally they were a warrior clan of Kunbi origin.

Kingdom of Nagpur came under the rule of the Marathas of the Bhonsle dynasty in the mid-18th century and became part of the Maratha Empire.

The city of Nagpur was the capital of the state.

After the Third Anglo-Maratha War, it became a princely state of the British Empire in 1818.

It was annexed to British India in 1853 becoming Nagpur Province.

'भोंसले'

भोंसले मराठा कबीला प्रणाली के भीतर एक प्रमुख समूह हैं।

पारंपरिक रूप से वे कुंभी मूल के योद्धा कबीले थे।
