The Pashupati figure found in Harappa sites is surrounded by four wild animals: an elephant and a tiger to its one side, and a water buffalo and a rhinoceros on the other.

The Harappans domesticated animals like dogs; cats; humped bull and shorthorn cattle.

There are also evidences of domestic fowl, camels, buffalo, and pigs.
