Hypermetropia

Far-sightedness, also known as long-sightedness, hypermetropia, or hyperopia, is a condition of the eye where distant objects are seen clearly but near objects appear blurred.

Hypermetropia is the condition of the eyes where the image of a nearby object is formed behind the retina. Here, the light is focused behind the retina instead of focusing on the retina.

This is caused by the shape of the eye - the eyeball is slightly too short. It is corrected by spectacles or contact lenses with lenses which are 'plus' or convex in shape.

Cataract

A cataract is when the eye's natural lens becomes cloudy. Proteins in the lens break down and cause things to look blurry, hazy or less colorful.

Most cataracts develop slowly over the course of years.

Cataract surgery involves removing the clouded lens and replacing it with a clear artificial lens. The artificial lens, called an intraocular lens, is positioned in the same place as the natural lens.

मोतियाबिंद

मोतियाबिंद वह स्थिति है जब आंख का प्राकृतिक लेंस धुंधला हो जाता है। लेंस में प्रोटीन टूट जाते हैं और चीजें धुंधली, धुंधली या कम रंगीन दिखाई देने लगती हैं

Night Blindness

Night blindness is a type of vision impairment also known as nyctalopia. People with night blindness experience poor vision at night or in dimly lit environments.

A few eye conditions can cause night blindness, such as nearsightedness, cataracts, retinitis pigmentosa and Usher syndrome.

Moreover a deficiency of vitamin A can also lead to night blindness.

रात में अंधापन

रात में दिखने में कमी एक प्रकार की दृष्टि हानि है जिसे नाइट ब्लाइंडनेस (nyctalopia) भी कहा जाता है। रात में दिखने में कमी वाले लोग रात में या कम रोशनी वाले वातावरण में खराब दृष्टि का अनुभव करते हैं।

Myopia

Nearsightedness (myopia) is a common vision condition in which near objects appear clear, but objects farther away look blurry.

It occurs when the shape of the eye — or the shape of certain parts of the eye — causes light rays to bend (refract) inaccurately.

It can be corrected with eyeglasses or contact lenses, and in some cases, refractive surgery, depending on severity.

मायोपिया

निकट दृष्टिदोष (myopia) एक सामान्य दृष्टि स्थिति है जिसमें निकट की वस्तुएं स्पष्ट दिखाई देती हैं, लेकिन दूर की वस्तुएं धुंधली दिखाई देती हैं।
