What is 20-20 & 50-50 Series by Synopsis IAS?

This course covers 70 most important topics for Prelims. These are the extremely High Yielding topics for Prelims.

These Topics have always been UPSC’s favourite, that is why UPSC is asking questions from these topics for past 40+ years. There is no reason that UPSC would not ask questions from these topics in the upcoming years.

This course, along with 5 Basic books, and Synopsis IAS Current Affairs Programme are good enough to qualify the Prelims.

You can expect 20 to 40+ questions directly from these topics, and at least 50 questions indirectly. [Kindly remember that the cut-off itself is approx. 50%.]
Why such a high Hit rate in Prelims: Simple! These topics are made from UPSC Previous year papers. UPSC invariably asks these topics in Prelims for past 40+ years.

20-20 meaning: Approx 20 topics. These are some small topics: Time to revise = approx. 20 minutes.

50-50 meaning: Approx 50 topics. These are relatively larger topics: Time to revise = approx. 50 minutes.

UPSC has to ask questions from these topics. IF UPSC would stop asking questions from these topics, the Cut-offs would go below 70, or may be even 50.

From this course, 30+ questions were there in Prelims 2022.

From this course, 40+ questions were there in Prelims 2021.
